Arts Corner: Venus

Now this I rather liked. It was funny, sad, and creepy in equal measure. Although the soundtrack by Corinne Bailey Rae made it seem far too chickflick for my liking, and will probably date horribly. But Peter O'Toole was quite fantastic - he really does do creepy old lech better than anyone else. It's rather disconcerting just how cadaverous he can be, even in a suit...

Hello and thanks for pointing me in your direction. I would love to see this film, but (sadly?) Charlotte's Web appears to be our limit at the moment. :)

Hi Linda, glad you stopped by! I suspect Charlotte's Web would go down quite well in our house too, given that M is very fond of spiders, pigs and other assorted animals. If it features a rabbit, so much the better...

I adore the way that in real life, Peter O'Toole calls people 'baby'. Quite, quite charming!
